San Vicente, Mexico...

I didn't know if they were going to like me or not. As I walked through the blue gates of Casa Del Pastor in San Vicente, Mexico for the first time I felt intimidated, and kinda-sorta regretful for choosing to wear flip flops, in all the dirt. Almost every kid in the humble women's shelter already new some of my team members from the past. It was like a family reunion up in there, and I was seriously the long lost cousin no one knew.

Then, she came and hugged me. The cutest little girl placed her little arms around me and asked me to carry her and play with her. I died. Like SheReallyReallyLikesMe kind of died. Spending one of my weekends this past summer speaking Spanish to the cutest kids ever and living on a one two minute shower the entire weekend, was the cherry on top to an awesome summer. The four days I spent walking the humble streets of San Vicente were unforgettable. The work my team members and I accomplished through constant prayer and unconditional love was not in vain. Lives were touched. Lives were loved on,  and names were written in the book of life not because of us, but in spite of us. The lives I encountered and the friendships I made with the people down there are ones my heart cherishes. Oh, and the food. Lord knows them tacos did no good for my figure. But, seriously, you can't visit Mexico without grubbin the food. It's just wrong. I was looking at the pictures I took while I was down there and they seriously just make me wanna pack my bags and visit San Vicente again so I can sneak the people down there into my luggage bag and bring them back home with me so I won't have to miss them. Check out some of the following pictures I took while visiting S.V.

This is Itzel, one of the most hilarious girls I've met since myself. lol  She is an awesome girl who loves the Lord and has some sick guitar playing skills.

                                They know what's up!

My friend Heidi loving on some of the girls we met at a labor camp.
This is Mauricio, the cutest little boy ever who is responsible for stealing my heart. He lives at Casa Del Pastor, a women's shelter, and I was seriously smitten by his cute little smile.
